Non-Custodial Measures
With a goal of improving legal outcomes for women prisoners in Chinese-speaking areas of the world, Dui Hua releases a Chinese translation of an e-course on sections of the UN Bangkok Rules pertaining to non-custodial measures. In 2016, we intend to distribute this translation in China as a training guide for legal officials. The translation takes Modules 1, 2, and 9 of Penal Reform International’s e-course “Women in Detention: Putting the UN Bangkok Rules into Practice”, which have already been translated into Arabic and Russian, and makes them available to a Chinese audience. Dui Hua chose these sections of the e-course because they focus on non-custodial measures for women in conflict with the law.
